For your consideration is a fascinating solid black (N2) opal from Lightning Ridge, Australia. It features extremely bright (4.5/5) electric green, orange and blue in a rolling broadflash pattern. As you can see, the gem is highly directional. This low-domed, oval cut gem weighs 1.57 carats. It measures 12.5 mm long by 8mm wide by 2mm deep. An extremely clean stone- even the back and sides are flawless. As ever, this is an untreated, All-Natural gemstone, mined from the Earth.
