    Questions:
    Question:
Do you think a bedpan will fit to be used instead of the bag?
Answer: A bedpan might not fit between the legs, however using simple plastic bags that you get from grocery stores does the job just fine; double up for added protection. The grocery bags fit perfectly and are far more affordable than the expensive 'recommended' bags.
By topcat on July 30, 2015
I don't see how that would fit. And there would be splash issues.
    Question:
how high is it when unfolded
    Answer: Helen,
Well... with the lid up and the seat in place... it's approximately 15" high. I am 5' 10" and 195 lbs and have no problems with it. If using it on a flat surface it's a little low, but if using it for camping, simply take 3 bricks with you and level it out. This will raise it well over 2".
The best thing is, just use CHEAP 13 gallon bags and don't pay the ridiculous price for the "Doodie" bags.
The worst thing is, the hole could be bigger but is OK. And we leave ours set up because the legs are a little hard to break down because the plastic locks are extremely tight.
Over all, it was a good purchase and we recommend it.

My wife measured it. It is 14" high when unfolded. She is a truck driver and she really likes it.
By Tracy A. Fisher on May 17, 2013
I did not take an actual measurement, however, it was not as high as I had thought it would be. It was more for a toddler or child to use. OK for an adult, however, harder for an adult to sit on and rise from.
By Sharon on May 15, 2013
it's about 14" height when in position ( unfolded and assembled ) ready to use ..

Im 260 lbs and it holds up me up very well. It feels very sturdy. It folds up easily for storage too. I very well recommend it to anyone.

    Question:
Do you think this would fit on the floor in the back seat of a car to be used by a small adult, 5'2?
Answer: If the floor in the back seat has a lot of room it should fit. This toilet is very low so if you have the room to put it on the floor it should fit okay. I hope this helps.

17" x 15" and note that the legs form a triangle. Also, be sure the legs are locked in place "before" taking a seat!
By Knighthawk on December 30, 2013
Negative , Between the size of the seat itself plus the width of the legs it will be way too large!
By Steven E. Kjeldgaard on December 30, 2013
I would doubt it. Maybe in a "mommy van" but not a sedan.
By Knighthawk on December 30, 2013
    Question:
Is this open at the bottom so you attach plastic bags that capture the urine/feces? Or is it like a potty seat & the plastic bottom holds excrement?
Answer: You open the seat top. Place the bag over the bottom. Put seat down and go. When finished you just remove the bag.
By Jim on November 1, 2014
It has 2 bags (a bag within a bag) that hang down. You can find these online called "Double Dooty" bags. The inner bag has material to absorb urine and odors. When you are ready to dispose of you simply lift the seat and let the inner bag go into the outer bag. The outer bag has a "Ziploc" closure. Toss in the trash.

It is open, you attach the bags that capture and deodorize. Works well.

They make plastic bags specially for this chair ! It worked flawlessly and was operational in a pinch ( no pun ) !!

It uses plastic garbage bags. Great to have around. Use it all the time for road trips and camping.

5.0 out of 5 stars Learning to Fold the Legs is Key

I have two portable toilets, one being the luggable loo and I wanted to try this one out for 4 reasons:
    1. The loo lid does not leave a lot of room to sit comfortably. This one the lid opens in much wider angle and it does not touch you while seating.
    2. The loo is a bucket. As such, when the lid is closed it forms condensation on the top of the lid, not a comfortable feeling to sit on a wet sit. This one has no walls, easier to replace bags and I feel it stays cleaner.
    3. You do not necessarily need a bag, since there is no bottom, you can actually bring to permitted areas and dig a hole in the dirt and simple cover when done. A bucket will not allow that.
    4. More compact. However, it is heavier than the loo. It is also low to the ground, people with knee problems may have difficulties to get up.
Challenges: Oh boy it took me close to 10 minutes to figure out how to fold the back legs. Watched 2 videos and nothing, I had one leg standing. After many tries I was finally able to fold it by myself. (Woman about 100lbs). You can definitely tip since there is just one leg at the front, so be cautious when wiping.
Bottom line, I am still deciding whether I can fold the legs or not. I am honestly afraid of opening them again!
Update: I just returned from camping and this product is amazing. My husband is 6'4 and he used it without any issues despite the low legs.
He also did not have any troubles to fold the legs. It will be a permanent piece of our camping equipment!!

We went camping for 3 days and it was perfect for the kids. Very sturdy, easy to clean and remove the bags as well as easy to store. I just wish the legs were a little longer/taller. We are very tall adults.

I got this to accommodate a friend that said we couldn't stay anywhere without running water and a toilet... Well, we staid by a stream and this toilet was a welcome tag along on our trip! Study however easy to collapse and disinfect when ready to leave.
We made hole under it and all enjoyed the fact it was there :)
4.0 out of 5 stars Wish it was higher and less awkward to pack, but other than that it was great

Okay, if this were my husband writng the review he'd probably say 5 stars, but I went with 4 stars. We just finshed a 16 day camping trip with this. In all honesty, I prefer the Reliance Tri-To-go that we had. My husband insisted that that one just didn't feel stable to him or secure enough to hold his 205 pounds. Well, this Fold To Go is also just three legs, and in my opinon wobbles just as much. I do admit it is nicer having what is like a real a toilet seat, and I think that is what makes my husband feel more secure. The reason I went with 4 stars is that this is more difficult to pack and I feel it uses up more space and the size and shape are awkward for finding space versus the Tri To Go. But The main reason is the height, when you out the bag in it drags on the ground too much and I feel you lose space for it filling because it is heaped on the ground. I also felt the lower height was not as comfortable for sitting on to go too. The Tri To Go sat higher than this does and I really prefer that.
5.0 out of 5 stars I enjoy camping/boondocking in the middle of nowhere quite often

I enjoy camping/boondocking in the middle of nowhere quite often. We have a small pop up camper, but it lacks plumbing or any luxuries such as a toilet. I have nearly perfected the art of peeing in the woods unassisted, but pooping is another story. I usually have to take off my pants and underwear and sumo-squat while trying to stay balanced. Add in the element of alcohol, and going to the bathroom is a nightmare. Enter Reliance's Fold-to-Go Collapsible Portable Toilet. This thing is great. It folds out quickly, within seconds (after you figure out which clips are to lock and which are to unlock) and sets up nicely, even if you've had a few too many (always camp responsibly). It has a low profile, so you can tuck it between a couple of shrubs and nobody will see you. It doesn't take up much room and I think even my dog is a fan of it since she's no longer the only family member that has her poop bagged up for her.
I would give it 4.5 stars, since it could use a little toilet paper holder for ultimate laziness (who wants to put their roll on a branch next to the toilet? bears?) but I'll round up.

I finally give up! 3 days I have been fighting with this thing and no matter what I do I can't fold the back legs down. I even tried to bribe it - didn't work. I love the concept - foldable, needs little room, out of the way until you need it toilet. Trouble is I can't fold it. I even watched a youtube video - multiple times! And not just me. 4 of us tried. THE GOOD: I am moving up in years (60 this May). Squatting is almost impossible and sitting low to the ground can cause circulation problems by cutting off blood flow, I guess. I gave this a sit test and it passed with flying colors. No problems. I think it must be slightly angled but I had no problem sitting down or getting up - even with arthritis in my lower back.
