This large and full-size Roman Gladius practice sword is made entirely of hardwood and measures 27 inches in length. Weapons just like this were used to safely train children and fresh recruits in the art of swordplay. The Gladius was also a standard weapon of Roman soldiers on the field of battle, and of gladiators in the deadly arena. This would also be a great item for Cosplay, Halloween, or a Renaissance Festival where real swords are prohibited and safety is a key concern.
