For sale here only is the vexillum cloth flag.  It is only shown with it's other parts to give you an idea of what it could look like if completed.  The other parts you see can also be purchased separately.

Roman Legion Gold Wreath (Corona Aurea or Gold Crown) Victory Laurel with SPQR inside vexillum standard (sigma) for legionary cohort.  The entire vexillum is 100% double layered wool and 100% embroidered with the bottom fringe being is gold wire.  The top has a slot to insert a rod through it.  You are buying just the vexillum flag here as seen but if you want, I can make the entire standard and all of it's accoutrements.  I can also add onto the flag in Roman gold wire embroidery lettering, any legion number you may want at extra cost, such as
LEG XVIII
as an example for Roman Legion Eighteen but in gold embroidery.  This vexillum is 22 inches wide by 22 inches long, not included the gold wire fringe on the bottom.  These are limited and are not massed produced.  I have three to sell but will keep a fourth.
Are you interested at all in having me make the complete standard for you?  You can control the price by determining how much or how little you want to put into as I have several options for each accessory.  First of all is the pole.  I have one higher grade and thicker hard wood pole that is stained a nice brown, which is also then sealed in and another cheaper version of an unstained but thinner hardwood pole.  I can add an authentic style Roman spear blade made of iron.  I can also add an iron Roman style butt spike.  To mount either one f these takes grinding down both ends of the pole to both make a perfect fit to affix these with nails or screws.  On top of the standard is mounted a wooden 'T' cross bar on which the vexillum hangs from with two gold terminals on either end of the rod.  Two red ribbon streamers hang on each side of the flag with gold heart design terminals on the bottom which was a common Roman design.  These ribbons can be plain or decorated with metal studs and in cloth or leather or a combination of both.  These vexillum flags are approximately 20  inches 'wide' by 20 inches 'high', not including the gold fringe.  Roman coins, grave stele and monuments also show various other items that can be attached such as phalera silver disk, imago's or the image of the emperor disk, wreaths, the manus or hand at top and even a Roman eagle on top to name just a few.  All of the items listed above can be priced before you commit to them.  Basically, you can own a Volkswagen or a Mercedes Benz.
